A wonderful introduction to dance for our youngest students. Fundamental ballet and tap exercises are taught, and basic motor skills and rhythm exercises are reinforced. Dancers are encouraged to explore the use of their creative minds in relation to movement. This class is 45 minutes.
(Ages 4 - 5)
Dancers will focus on the fundamental movements found in two of the oldest and greatest dance genres. Through a more traditional structured dance class, dancers will explore the foundation of ballet technique and tap rhythm.
(Ages 5 - 6)

(Ages 5 - 7)
This class teaches fundamental hip-hop dance technique. Time will be spent learning beginning hip hop steps, isolations and introducing music, qualities, and steps that encompass the genre of dance. Dancers will work on learning different styles and tempos of hip-hop choreography each week.

Technical training of classical ballet, the basis of all dance movement. All of our classes embody a classical barre warm-up, center floor (adagio), and "across the floor work". Dancers will work towards understanding more complex footwork, new terminology and qualities of movement found in ballet.

A syncopated stylized form of movement which develops coordination, rhythm and balance, stressing foot work. This class teaches fundamental tap technique. Time will be spent learning intermediate footwork, rhythms, more complex musicality and steps. Dancers will work on learning different styles and tempos of tap choreography.

Teaches the student contemporary and primitive styles. Although movements are less rigidly formalized than in ballet, the exercises teach and develop the ability to control and move each part of the body. Students will have an opportunity to explore more complex sequencing in center combinations and across the floor.

The technique of performing on toe (pointe) for classical and contemporary ballet. For advanced students with several years of ballet technique, upon recommendation of the instructor only. Students must also be enrolled in a ballet class.

Modern Dance is comprised of highly individualized movements based upon personalized, ever-changing artistic standards. Dancers explore Martha Graham technique and focus on floor work, contractions, center, and across the floor.
